Philadelphia's Thrilling '8 Seconds' Rodeo Supports Black Cowboys This Saturday

This Saturday night, Philadelphia hosts a thrilling rodeo event, '8 Seconds', produced by Ivan Cornejo's 8 Seconds business. The rodeo aims to support Black cowboys and features bull riding, barrel racing, and bareback bronco riding, with over 24 horses and bulls set to participate.

The event, taking place at Temple University's Liacouras Center, promises concert-level lights and sound, along with performances by local DJ Diamond Kuts and a choir. The rodeo is expected to sell out, with 70% of the 7,000 seats already sold as of Thursday. Competitors will vie for a total of $60,000 in prize money across three events. The rodeo is produced by Ivan Cornejo, a business founded in 2023 in Portland, Oregon. Notably, Ivan Cornejo is not directly linked to the organization of this specific '8 Seconds Rodeo' event, but he owns the 8 Seconds Rodeo Bar in Kissimmee, Florida. The rodeo is set to return next year, with plans to expand to other cities.

The '8 Seconds' rodeo in Philadelphia promises an exciting night of rodeo action, supporting Black cowboys and offering substantial prize money. With plans to expand in the future, this event is set to make a lasting impact on the rodeo industry.
