Pav Braich secures historic back-to-back Pure Poker Tour Main Event wins

Pav 'Back-to-Back' Braich has claimed his second consecutive Pure Poker Tour (PPT) Main Event title. The victory came despite starting Day 2 with one of the smallest stacks among the remaining players. His win follows a similar achievement by Winnipeg’s Eric Wasylenko in early 2024.

The PPT5 Main Event drew the largest field in the series, along with the two biggest one-day turnouts. Braich entered the final day with just 152.5k in chips, far behind leader Nadav Bitton’s 700k-plus stack. Despite the disadvantage, he played cautiously and outlasted his opponents.

Braich’s back-to-back wins mark a rare accomplishment in the PPT, matching Wasylenko’s earlier feat. The tournament also set records for participation, with multiple side events awarding significant prizes. Other players, like Eggenberger and Boivin, made notable runs in separate high-stakes competitions.
