Paul Howley Takes Down Crucial Hand, Becomes Chip Leader in £150 Mini Main Event

The £150 Mini Main Event at PartyPoker is underway, with the current chip leader remaining unknown, a PokerStars ambassador. A recent hand saw Asif Warris, the last PartyPoker Tour Ambassador in the event, suffer a significant loss to Paul Howley.

In the crucial hand, Howley held pocket Nines (9♠9♣) and made a three-bet to 280,000. Warris, with pocket Aces (A♥A♦), called, but the board ran out 6♠3♥2♣9♦4♠, giving Howley the win. This hand crippled Warris, reducing his stack to 200,000, while Howley's stack grew to 1,150,000.

Howley's victory came despite Warris being ahead in the hand with his pocket Aces. The board's run-out favored Howley, eliminating Warris as a major threat in the event.

Paul Howley's stack is now the largest at 1,150,000 after his victory over Asif Warris. Warris, the last PartyPoker Tour Ambassador, is left with 200,000. The current chip leader's identity remains unknown, with the £150 Mini Main Event at PartyPoker continuing.
