Parx Casino Shippensburg debuts live dealer table games with a mayoral first bet
Parx Casino Shippensburg is set to expand its gaming options with the launch of live dealer table games. The new addition marks a shift from electronic play to a more interactive news experience. Regulatory testing and preview events are already underway before the official opening.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is currently overseeing the final testing phase of the live dealer tables. These games will introduce a social element, replacing the casino's previous electronic setup. Community previews have been arranged for local officials, partners, and industry representatives to observe operations before the public launch.
The redesigned gaming floor will include 12 tables with 72 seats, offering Blackjack, Roulette, Ultimate Texas Hold'em, and Three Card Poker. The casino remains fully smoke-free while preparing for the new addition. Live dealer gaming officially began on January 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM ET. A ceremonial first wager will take place on January 27, placed by Shippensburg Mayor Shaun Rogers to mark the debut. The expansion is viewed as both an entertainment upgrade and an economic boost for the region. Traditional tables are expected to attract more visitors while supporting local development.
With testing complete and preview events held, the casino's live dealer tables are now operational. The new setup aims to enhance player engagement and contribute to the area's growth. The first official wager will be placed by the mayor later this month.
