OYO Hotel & Casino crowned Las Vegas' dirtiest resort in shocking new study

A recent study has named OYO Hotel & Casino the filthiest casino resort in Las Vegas. The ranking was based on over 500,000 TripAdvisor reviews that mentioned uncleanliness. Despite this, the hotel maintains an overall rating of 4 out of 5 on the platform.

The report, published by BitcoinCasinos.com, analysed reviews for keywords like 'dirty', 'filthy', 'disgusting', and 'bed bugs'. OYO Hotel & Casino topped the list, with 28% of its reviews containing such terms. One guest described finding poorly painted-over furniture, unsanitised surfaces, and cockroaches in the rooms. Carpets were stained, and air vents appeared dirty.

Excalibur Hotel & Casino and Luxor followed closely behind, with 27.2% and 26.9% of reviews mentioning uncleanliness. Both properties are owned by MGM Resorts.

At the other end of the scale, The Mansion at MGM Grand, NoMad Las Vegas at Park MGM, and Encore at Wynn Las Vegas were rated the cleanest. Their unclean keyword scores stood at just 4.1%, 4.4%, and 4.9% respectively. Rooms at The Mansion start at $5,000 per night for one bedroom and $7,500 for two.

OYO's average room rates remain low, at around $30 per night on weekdays and $90 on weekends. However, no data was available to compare its current cleanliness ratings with those from its previous names, Hotel San Remo.

The study highlights a clear divide in cleanliness standards across Las Vegas casino resorts. OYO Hotel & Casino leads in negative reviews, while high-end properties like The Mansion maintain far fewer complaints. The findings are based solely on TripAdvisor feedback, without additional historical comparisons.
