Online poker's 2026 boom delivers million-dollar wins and rare back-to-back victories
The first two months of 2026 have already seen major wins in online poker, with players securing life-changing sums. The GGMillion$ series delivered standout performances, including a first-time champion and a rare back-to-back victory in the poker tournaments. Other high-stakes events also rewarded players with six-figure payouts in January and February.
On January 27, Mikita Badziakouski claimed his first GGMillion$ Main Event title after five previous final table appearances. He took home $1,755,815, while Nikita Kuznetsov, who had led going into the final table, finished as runner-up for $1,354,732. Pedro Neves also made a strong showing, placing third for $1,045,529.
Just three weeks later, Neves returned to the winner's circle. On February 17, he won the GGMillion$ High Rollers for $480,386. Meanwhile, Samuel Vousden achieved a rare feat by winning the GGMillion$ Main Event twice in a row in early February, taking down consecutive $10,300 buy-in events.
Beyond the GGMillion$ series, PokerStars' New Year Series in January saw Ognyan 'cocojamb0' Dimov turn a $109 entry into $138,495. The win highlighted the potential for big returns even in lower-buy-in poker tournaments.
The early months of 2026 have proven lucrative for several poker players, with multiple seven-figure scores and notable repeat victories in the poker games. These results underscore the high stakes and competitive nature of online tournament poker. The next few months will likely bring more high-profile wins as the year progresses.
