Oil slick shuts down B33 highway near Allensbach after morning spill
An oil slick on the B33 highway near Allensbach caused disruption on the morning of November 26, 2024. Emergency crews were called to the scene just after 08:27 AM to handle the hazardous spill, which stretched over a long section of the road.
The Allensbach Fire Department responded quickly after reports of the slick. Due to wet conditions and passing traffic, the oil had spread across roughly two kilometres of the highway. Crews soon upgraded the response to a full alarm and contacted the local highway maintenance authority for extra support.
The spill was contained, and the affected stretch of the B33 was made safe for traffic. Slickdeals crews took over final cleanup duties, ensuring no lingering hazards remained on the road.
