Nielsen Alumni Award 2018 Now Open for Nominations Until September 17

The Nielsen Alumni Social Impact Award is now open for nominations until September 17, 2018. This award honours former Nielsen employees who continue to create meaningful change in their communities. The winner will be announced during Nielsen Alumni Week, held from October 1 to 5, 2018. The award was first introduced in 2017, with Ramona Liberoff named as its inaugural recipient. Liberoff, who previously served as SVP of Nielsen's Innovation Practice in London, later took leadership roles at SPRING Accelerator and Innogy Innovation Hub. After receiving the award, she directed Nielsen's donation to the Fawcett Society, a U.K.-based charity dedicated to gender equality and women's rights.

The Nielsen Alumni Network, established in 2016, keeps former employees connected while celebrating their ongoing contributions. The award itself recognises outstanding work in fields such as hunger relief, technology, education, and sustainability. Both the winner and the person who nominates them receive charitable donations from Nielsen to organisations of their choice. Nielsen's culture has long emphasised community impact through programmes like Nielsen Cares and Nielsen Green. The company encourages current and former associates to submit nominations, ensuring the award reflects the diverse ways alumni drive positive change.

The 2018 award will again highlight the achievements of Nielsen's former employees. Nominations close on September 17, with the recipient revealed during Alumni Week in early October. The winning individual and their nominator will each select a charity to receive a donation from Nielsen.
