New St. George's Health Hub Opens in Hornchurch

The new St. George's Health and Wellbeing Hub in Hornchurch, Essex, has opened its doors, offering a range of health and care services under one roof. The Hub's interior, designed with patient comfort in mind, has received praise from Dr John O' Moore, a GP partner. Meanwhile, the project's success is attributed to a collaborative effort between Loughton Contracts, Gerflor, and Gradus.

The Hub's flooring plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming and safe health insurance environment. Over 5,000m2 of Gerflor's products were installed, including Mipolam EL7, Taralay Impression Compact, and Tarasafe Ultra Safety Vinyl. These were chosen for their durability, hygiene, and safety, ensuring the facility is future-proofed.

The flooring was laid in various spaces, from clinical areas and consulting rooms to dialysis units, toilets, bathrooms, corridors, and stairs. Gerflor's Dan Bowen and Loughton Contracts worked together to ensure the project was completed on time and within budget.

Complementing the flooring specification, Gradus supplied entrance matting and stair nosing's. Chris Pursey of Gerflor praised the partnership with Gradus, highlighting their collaborative approach in delivering a full, specification-led solution.

The St. George's Health and Wellbeing Hub in Hornchurch is now operational, providing a comfortable and safe health insurance space for patients. The successful execution of the project, with its high-quality flooring and complementary products, demonstrates the value of collaboration between suppliers and contractors in creating a functional and welcoming healthcare environment.
