Mayor Jan Einig and Vanessa Selent, Director of the Tourist Information, recently visited the hotel to congratulate Jörg Germandi on the anniversary. Although not a founding member, the officially titled 'host' has been driving the establishment and continuous development of the hotel for the past 13 years with great dedication.

The Food Hotel in Neuwied has celebrated its 15th anniversary as a key part of the city’s tourism. Known for its supermarket-themed design, the hotel offers 113 rooms, diverse dining options, and a busy events calendar. Local officials recently gathered to mark the milestone and discuss future plans for the area.

The hotel first opened 15 years ago and has since become a landmark in Neuwied. Eight years later, an expansion added 63 single rooms, including two accessible ones, bringing the total to 113—46 of which are themed suites. Its central kitchen now produces around 1,400 organic meals daily, with the ability to scale up to 3,500.

The Food Hotel remains a cornerstone of Neuwied’s hospitality sector after 15 years. Its mix of themed rooms, organic dining, and cultural events continues to attract guests. With ongoing expansion plans and local government backing, the hotel is set to maintain its influence in the region.
