MSPT’s 17th Season Launches With Million-Dollar Poker Showdowns in Arizona
The Major Series of Poker: The Tour (MSPT) has kicked off its 17th season with a packed schedule of high-stakes events. The first Major takes place at Talking Stick Resort in Arizona from January 24 to February, featuring six Gold Card tournaments. Among them, the $1,100 buy-in, $1,000,000 guaranteed Diamond Poker Championship will draw top players from across the country.
The Arizona stop at Talking Stick Resort begins on January 24, offering six Gold Card events. The highlight is the $1,100 buy-in Diamond Poker Championship, which guarantees a $1,000,000 prize pool. The Main Event will run across three starting flights: Day 1A on January 29, Day 1B on January 30, and Day 1C on January 31. Survivors from all flights will reunite on February 1 for Day 2, playing until a winner is crowned.
Following Arizona, the MSPT moves to The Venetian in Las Vegas from February 4 to 7 for Poker Bowl X. This $1,600 buy-in tournament also guarantees a $1,000,000 prize pool. Later, from February 10 to 16, the tour stops at JACK Cleveland for the $750,000 guaranteed Ohio Poker State Championship. Immediately after, the $1,000,000 guaranteed Club Poker Championship Major will take place at Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The schedule also includes side events like an $800 Tag Team No-Limit Hold’em, a $300 Pot-Limit Omaha tournament, and a $300 Monster Stack. Meanwhile, The Venetian and MGM National Harbor in Maryland will host simultaneous MSPT events from February 11 to 23. Notable figures such as Chad Holloway and Kyna England, hosts of the MSPT Podcast Presented By PokerNews, are expected to compete at Talking Stick. Their participation adds to the event’s appeal for both amateur and professional players.
The MSPT’s 17th season features a busy February, with major stops in Las Vegas, Maryland, Ohio, and Wisconsin. The tour’s opening event in Arizona sets the stage for high-stakes competition, offering multiple entry points and substantial prize guarantees. Players will have numerous opportunities to compete for Gold Card events and significant cash prizes.
