MSPT Unveils New World Rankings with Umut Ozturk Leading the Charge

The Major Series of Poker: The Tour (MSPT) has introduced its own World Ranking system, the MSPT World Rankings. Umut Ozturk currently leads with a score of 196.51, followed by Jacob Long in 2nd place with 125.55 points.

The rankings, launched on September 29, 2025, are based on a player's performance in MSPT Main Events over a 50-event period. Points earned in Main Events decrease by 1/40 of their full value each time a new Main Event takes place. Once a Main Event is 51 events back, any points earned in it are valued at 0.

Josh Reichard follows Long in 3rd place with a score of 117.53. The Top 64 ranked players will receive a seat in a $20K Freeroll Heads-Up Tournament at Minnesota's Running Aces Casino in December 2026. Additionally, these players will be eligible for the 2027 Icon of the Year race, with the winner receiving a $10K Main Event seat.

The MSPT World Rankings aim to recognise and reward consistent performance in MSPT Main Events. As the system continues, players will strive to maintain their rankings, with the next update bringing new challenges and opportunities.
