MSPT Season 16 Culminates With a $500K Guaranteed Main Event in Minnesota

The Major Series of Poker: The Tour (MSPT) is heading into its final stop of Season 16. Running Aces Casino in Minnesota will host the event from December 4–7, featuring a $1,110 buy-in, $500,000 guaranteed Main Event. Players will compete for the last chance to earn Player of the Year (POY) points in a festival packed with 18 Gold Card tournaments.

The penultimate stop of MSPT Season 16 recently concluded at Ameristar East Chicago. The series included a dozen tournaments, with the highlight being a $1,110 buy-in, $300,000 guaranteed Main Event. Aaron Johnson from Red Wing, Minnesota, emerged as the champion, securing $92,000 in prize money. This victory marks his second MSPT title, following his first win in 2019 at Meskwaki.

The final MSPT stop at Running Aces Casino runs from December 4–7. Players will compete in 18 Gold Card events, including the $500,000 guaranteed Main Event. The results will determine the final standings in the Season 16 Player of the Year race.
