MSPT Brings High-Stakes Poker to Canada with $1.5M in Guarantees
The Major Series of Poker Tour (MSPT) is set to host its first international event outside the United States. The MSPT Canadian Poker Championship will take place from October 9 to 19 at Playground in Kahnawake, Canada. The festival promises an exciting line-up of tournaments with substantial guarantees.
Kicking off the festival is the $300 buy-in, $150K GTD Mega Stack, offering seven starting flights. The main event, the MSPT Major Championship, will run from October 15 to 19. It features four starting flights and a $1,150 buy-in, boasting a guaranteed prize pool of $1,000,000. Players will start with 40,000 in chips and play 40-minute levels.
The entire festival offers a combined $1.5 million in guaranteed prize pools across 14 Gold Card events. Chad Holloway, PR & Media Manager for PokerNews and a 2013 WSOP bracelet winner, will be covering the event. Playground, Canada's premier gaming destination, has previously hosted large poker events like the World Poker Tour (WPT).
The MSPT Canadian Poker Championship promises an action-packed two weeks of poker, with substantial guarantees and an exciting line-up of events. The festival is set to attract players from across North America and beyond, making it a must-attend event for poker enthusiasts.
