Mike Malm clinches third poker title with PLO Hyperturbo victory

Mike Malm has secured his third tournament win of the week after triumphing in Event #4: the $300 Pot-Limit Omaha Deepstack Hyperturbo. He outlasted the competition to claim a $7,145 prize and another trophy. Meanwhile, Day 1a of Event #3: the $670 No-Limit Hold'em saw 10 players advance with Vince Lam leading the pack.

Event #4 drew a competitive field, with the top 10 finishers sharing a $45,030 prize pool. Malm entered the final table with a commanding chip lead, holding roughly half the chips in play. His dominance continued as he eliminated all but two opponents before sealing victory in the final hand—his pair of queens held strong against Leon Doublet’s ace and nut flush draw.

Malm’s third victory of the week adds to his growing reputation in high-stakes poker. The remaining players in Event #3 will now prepare for the next phase, while the PLO Hyperturbo winners collect their shares of the prize pool. Both tournaments continue to draw strong fields as the series progresses.
