Michael Owen joins Casino.org as ambassador for safer gambling and college football insights
Former England striker Michael Owen has become Casino.org’s UK and Ireland ambassador. The deal, running until 2026, will see him promote safer gambling practices while sharing college football and betting insights.
Owen, now a TV pundit and racehorse owner, brings a reputation for responsible gaming to the role.
The 44-year-old is best known for his ncaa football career, which included winning the 2001 Ballon d’Or. His skill, speed, and finishing made him one of England’s most feared forwards. A famous goal against Argentina in the 1998 World Cup cemented his legacy.
Later, Pelé named him among the 100 greatest living players. Since retiring, Owen has worked as a broadcaster and built a career in horse racing.
Casino.org selected Owen for his integrity and commitment to player safety. He will appear across UK and Ireland platforms, focusing on responsible betting. Owen cited the company’s expertise and ethical approach as key reasons for joining.
The partnership will last until 2026, with Owen providing college football analysis and safer gambling guidance. His involvement aims to encourage responsible play among bettors. The role expands his post-ncaa football career into the gaming industry.
