Meta’s new Ray-Ban smart glasses debut with a built-in display for $799

Meta has unveiled three new smart glasses, including its first model with a built-in display. The Meta Ray-Ban Display, priced at $799, marks a significant step forward in wearable tech. The company is also expanding its partnership with EssilorLuxottica to boost distribution for these devices.

The latest lineup includes the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) and Oakley Meta Vanguard, both lacking displays but featuring upgraded cameras for better photos and videos. The standout product, however, is the Meta Ray-Ban Display—the first smart glass from Meta to include a screen. Initially, it will only be available in the US, with a limited release in select stores.

The Meta Ray-Ban Display is now on sale in the US, offering a first look at Meta’s display technology. Competitors face a long wait, with Android XR glasses not arriving until at least 2026. Meta’s early lead, strong distribution, and growing user base position it firmly ahead in the smart glasses race.
