Mehmet Siginc clinches poker title in a dramatic final showdown
The final table of the poker tournament came down to two players: Nicholas Lee and Mehmet Siginc. After a back-and-forth battle, Siginc secured the win with a narrow victory in the last hand.
Lee started the heads-up play with a small lead, just a big blind or two ahead of Siginc. He then extended his advantage when his ace-ten beat Siginc’s pocket twos, doubling his stack.
Siginc fought back, slowly chipping away until the two were nearly even again. The final hand began with Lee pushing all-in from the button with king-ten. Siginc called with ace-nine, and his hand held, sending Lee out in second place. This win adds to Siginc’s growing list of achievements. The German pro first won a World Series of Poker bracelet in 2019 in a mixed games event.
The tournament ended with Siginc taking the title after a tense final hand. Lee’s strong performance fell just short, leaving Siginc as the last player standing at the table.
