Max Burney's Triple Threat: Two Players Busted in One Epic Poker Hand

A dramatic three-way all-in at the 2026 PartyPoker Tour in Sheffield saw Max Burney eliminate two players in a single hand. Deniz Orhan and Ashley Stewart both exited the tournament after clashing with Burney's strong holding. The showdown pushed Burney's stack to 2,000,000 chips.

The action began when Deniz Orhan moved all-in for 455,000 from the Hi-jack with pocket sixes (6♠ 6♦). Ashley Stewart, in the Big Blind, called with A♠ K♣. Max Burney then re-shoved from the Cut-off, committing around 1,200,000 with A♣ Q♣.

A Queen on the flop gave Burney the lead, leaving Orhan needing a six on the river to survive. Stewart, already drawing dead by the turn, had no chance of improving. The river failed to deliver Orhan's required card, sealing the fate of both players.

Burney's victory in the hand followed his earlier progress in the event. After finishing Day 1b with 349,000 chips (5th in counts), he later built his stack to 1,450,000 before this decisive confrontation.

The double elimination leaves Burney as the dominant force at the table with 2,000,000 chips. The tournament continues with fewer players remaining, while Orhan and Stewart's runs come to an abrupt end. Burney's momentum now sets him up as a key contender in the ongoing main event.
