March Madness Hits Casinos as Slot Jackpots Top $1M Across the US
March has brought a wave of massive slot wins across the US. Players in multiple states struck it lucky, with jackpots reaching well over a million dollars. The streak includes life-changing payouts on popular machines like Dragon Link and Wheel of Fortune.
On Sunday, a Burbank man walked away with $1,339,477 at Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California. His winning bet—a $50 spin—landed on an Aristocrat Gaming Dragon Link Peace & Long Life slot. This same machine had already paid out a $1 million jackpot to another player in May 2025.
Pechanga's Dragon Link slots have now delivered three seven-figure wins in the past year alone. Back on March 13, a different player hit a $1,232,300 progressive jackpot on the same game. Elsewhere, a duo in Connecticut secured $113,000 on a Wheel of Fortune slot over the weekend. That same night, another Connecticut player won over $200,000 across two separate Aristocrat machines. Meanwhile, in Washington State, a Triple Fortune Dragon slot paid out $154,000 to a lucky winner. The Wheel of Fortune brand, created by IGT, will mark its 30th anniversary in May. Its slots continue to generate big payouts, adding to the surge of high-value wins this spring.
The flurry of jackpots suggests a standout season for slot players. With multiple million-dollar payouts and smaller but substantial wins, casinos across the country have seen major prizes land in recent weeks. The trend highlights the ongoing popularity of games like Dragon Link and Wheel of Fortune.
