Macau's Michelin-Starred Restaurants Redefine Luxury Dining in 2026

Macau's fine dining scene continues to shine, with Michelin-starred restaurants maintaining their reputation for excellence. Over the past five years, the city has solidified its status as a hub for high-end Cantonese, Japanese, and international cuisine. Recent updates reveal new menus, exclusive events, and enduring recognition for top venues.

Among the standout names, Jade Dragon remains a benchmark with three Michelin stars, praised for its Cantonese mastery and accolades like La Liste Top 1,000. Meanwhile, Feng Wei Ju at StarWorld Hotel has held its two-star rating for a decade, led by Chef Chan Chek Keong, who blends Hunan and Sichuan traditions with refined techniques. The restaurant now offers a celebratory Degustation Menu, featuring dishes like Stewed Minced Chicken and Egg White with Matsutake in Bouillon.

Other venues have also made waves. Lai Heen, under Chinese Executive Chef Jackie Ho Hon Sing, launched the 'Splendid Stars Menu', showcasing dishes such as Crispy Foie Gras Mousse Fritter and Stir-fried Lobster with Himematsutake and Caviar. The restaurant retains its one-star status, as does 8½ Otto e Mezzo BOMBANA, where Executive Chef Marino D'Antonio presents an 'Award-winning Indulgent Lunch' with Sardinian flavours on weekends.

Japanese cuisine remains a strong contender. Sushi Kissho by Miyakawa, led by three-star sushi master Chef Masaaki Miyakawa, retained its Michelin Star for the second year. The venue also hosted exclusive sake-pairing dinners on March 20-21, featuring seasonal ingredients curated by Sommelier Ivan Au Yang. Elsewhere, Sushi Kinetsu maintained its one-star ranking, while Pearl Dragon and Ying upheld their positions with Cantonese-Chaozhou and fine local dishes, respectively.

Melco Resorts leads with eight Michelin stars across its properties, reinforcing Macau's dominance in luxury dining. The 2026 Guide confirms the city's commitment to both tradition and innovation, with Cantonese cuisine at the forefront.

The latest Michelin Guide updates highlight Macau's enduring appeal as a culinary destination. From decade-long two-star achievements to seasonal events and new tasting menus, the city's restaurants continue to attract global attention. With a mix of established names and fresh offerings, the dining scene remains vibrant and competitive.
