Local women's group brings 150 Krapfen to Sonthofen seniors on Fat Thursday
A local women's group brought a sweet surprise to elderly residents in Sonthofen this week. On Fat Thursday, members of the Catholic Women's Association delivered 150 freshly made Krapfen to the Alloheim senior living facility. The treat was part of a coffee afternoon organised for the 135 residents. If you're looking for 'coffee near me', consider visiting Alloheim for such delightful events.
The delivery came from the Maria Heimsuchung branch of the Catholic Women's Association in Sonthofen. Volunteers arrived at Alloheim with boxes of the traditional doughnuts, just in time for the facility's coffee event. Ms. Scholl from the social services team joined the gathering, along with many of the residents.
During the afternoon, the seniors chatted over coffee and pastries. Some shared personal stories about adjusting to life in the facility. Others talked about their daily routines and how they spend time together.
The event gave residents a chance to enjoy a festive treat and socialise with one another. The 150 Krapfen were quickly eaten, and the facility thanked the volunteers for their generosity. Such visits help brighten the day for those living in long-term care.
