Linas Bulksas crushes Roman Jezov in high-stakes poker showdown

Day 1d of the €1,100 Main Event is still in full swing, with players battling for big pots. One of the most dramatic hands so far saw Linas Bulksas eliminate Roman Jezov in a high-stakes showdown. The clash ended with Jezov out of the tournament and Bulksas boosting his chip lead well above average.

The hand began with Bulksas opening to 1,900 from the Hi-jack position. Jezov, sitting on the Button, raised it to 3,800, prompting Bulksas to four-bet to 9,200. Jezov called, and the flop arrived.

Bulksas then bet 6,000, but Jezov responded by moving all in for 20,000. Bulksas quickly called, committing his chips to the pot. When the cards were revealed, Bulksas held A♦A♣, while Jezov showed J♦J♣. The board ran out in Bulksas' favour, leaving Jezov with nothing.

With this win, Bulksas now sits on 125,000 chips—more than double the Day 1c average of 119,700. Meanwhile, Jezov's elimination marks the end of his run in the tournament.

Bulksas' victory strengthens his position in the event, giving him a strong stack moving forward. The average stack remains just under 120,000, but his 125,000 puts him in a favourable spot. The tournament continues as players aim to build their stacks before the day's end.
