Laos Welcomes Two Stunning Amari Hotels After Years of Anticipation

Two new luxury hotels in Laos have finally opened their doors after delays pushed back their original launch dates. The Amari Cooper Vang Vieng and Amari Bailey Vientiane form part of ONYX Hospitality Group’s Falling in Love with Laos campaign, designed to highlight the country’s cultural charm and natural beauty. Both properties blend modern comfort with traditional Lao craftsmanship, offering guests a unique experience across two distinct destinations.

The Amari Cooper Vang Vieng was initially set to open in 2020, while the Amari Bailey Vientiane followed with a planned 2021 debut. Now operational, the two hotels showcase Laos in different ways. Amari Cooper Vang Vieng sits peacefully by the river, featuring 160 stylish rooms, a sprawling outdoor pool, and two dining venues: Essence and Cascade. Its serene setting contrasts with the bustling energy of the capital.

Amari Bailey Vientiane, meanwhile, occupies a prime spot in downtown Vientiane, close to key landmarks. The hotel offers 248 rooms and a rooftop bar, Stellar Bar, where guests can take in city views. Both properties emphasise local materials and textiles in their design, merging contemporary aesthetics with Lao heritage. Beyond architecture, the hotels focus on hospitality. Staff provide warm, attentive service rooted in Thai traditions but tailored to Lao customs. Dining experiences, like the Local Flair menu, reinvent classic Lao flavours with a modern twist.

The Falling in Love with Laos concept now invites visitors to explore the country through these two distinct stays. Amari Cooper Vang Vieng offers riverside tranquillity, while Amari Bailey Vientiane provides urban convenience. Together, they present a fresh way to experience Laos’ culture, cuisine, and landscapes.
