Justas Vaiciulionis Stuns Nico Marraffa with Rivered Straight in High-Stakes Poker Duel

A high-stakes poker hand at Level 18 saw Justas Vaiciulionis secure a major win against Nico Marraffa. With blinds at 2,000/5,000/5,000, the clash unfolded in the cutoff and big blind positions, ending with Vaiciulionis extending his chip lead significantly. The action began with Vaiciulionis in the cutoff and Marraffa in the big blind. Marraffa opened with a 23,000 bet, which Vaiciulionis called. The board ran out 10ā™  9♣ 7♦ J♄ Qā™ , setting the stage for a dramatic showdown.

At the river, Marraffa tabled 9ā™  7♄ for two pair, confident in his holding. Vaiciulionis, however, revealed A♣ 8♄—a rivered one-card straight. The better hand earned him the pot, boosting his stack to 695,000 chips, while Marraffa was left with 190,000. This victory adds to Vaiciulionis's growing poker resume, which includes 21 recorded tournament entries and €150,100 in career winnings.

The hand solidified Vaiciulionis's position in the tournament, leaving him with a commanding chip advantage. Marraffa, now shorter-stacked, faces an uphill battle as play continues at the higher blind levels.
