Jeff Platt reflects on 2025’s poker highs and lows ahead of WSOP 2026

Jeff Platt, a renowned poker commentator and content host, has reflected on a mixed 2025. Despite his worst year in terms of playing results, he highlighted two standout moments. Both involved high-profile interactions at the World Series of Poker (WSOP).

Platt’s career tournament earnings exceed $600,000, but 2025 proved challenging for him at the tables. Even so, he singled out two key events as personal highlights. The first was agreeing to buy pieces of TJ Reid’s tournament action—a deal that clearly stood out. The second came when he presented a WSOP bracelet to Michael Mizrachi during the Main Event.

Looking ahead, Platt is now focused on the 2026 WSOP schedule. He expressed particular excitement for the Vegas series and the newly relocated WSOP Europe in Prague. While no major changes have been announced for the Vegas event, the shift of WSOP Europe to the Czech capital marks a notable update. As for personal traditions, Platt does not set New Year’s resolutions. His attention remains firmly on the poker calendar instead.

The 2026 WSOP will see Platt return to the tables with renewed interest. His enthusiasm for the Vegas series and Prague’s debut as host city is clear. Meanwhile, his 2025 reflections underscore the highs and lows of a year that mixed setbacks with memorable moments.
