JCB’s Christmas Toy Appeal smashes records with 1,700 gifts for families in need
JCB’s third annual Christmas Toy Appeal has broken records with 1,700 gifts collected. Employees from UK plants in Staffordshire, Derbyshire, and Wrexham contributed to the campaign. The presents will now be shared with children in need across the region.
The appeal saw donations pour in from JCB’s factories, with staff generously giving toys for local families. In Staffordshire, the GMB union added £1,000 to buy extra gifts, while their Wrexham branch contributed £650. The collected toys will be split between Stoke-on-Trent and Wrexham, where the Salvation Army will handle distribution.
The gifts will now be distributed to families in Stoke-on-Trent and Wrexham. The Salvation Army, Hubb Foundation, and NSPCC will manage the final delivery. This year’s appeal marks the largest collection since the initiative began three years ago.
