Jason Koon’s $69M poker legacy earns him a Team Pro spot at 2024 NAPT

Jason Koon, a 40-year-old poker sensation, has been inducted as a Team Pro member during the 2024 North American Poker Tour (NAPT), alongside Caitlin Comeskey. Koon, who hails from Fort Wayne, Indiana, has amassed an impressive $69 million in live tournament earnings, including a WSOP bracelet and 12 Triton Poker titles.

Koon's rise to fame is nothing short of remarkable. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, he grew up in rural West Virginia, the poorest state in the country. His father's imprisonment when he was just eight years old left a lasting impact on him. Koon discovered poker in college and used his winnings to pay off his student loans.

Koon's poker prowess has earned him a spot among the greats. With $69 million in career earnings, including a $3.5 million cash that accounts for just 20% of his total earnings, he is considered one of the best in the game. His impressive resume includes a WSOP bracelet and 12 Triton Poker titles. Koon's aggressive playing style and strategic mind have made him a formidable opponent at the poker table.

Koon's induction as a PokerStars ambassador nearly a year ago further cemented his status in the poker world. His 40th birthday in August 2025 made him eligible for the Poker Hall of Fame in 2026. Given his outstanding career achievements, Koon is among the shortlist of favorites for the solo Poker Hall of Fame induction in 2026. If not inducted in 2026, his induction is expected to follow soon.

Jason Koon's induction as a Team Pro member during the 2024 NAPT is a testament to his exceptional poker career.
