Jaime Haletky claims second WSOPC Main Event title in dramatic fashion
Jaime Haletky has secured his second World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) Main Event title at Thunder Valley Casino Resort. The victory came after a tense heads-up battle, earning him $205,460 and a $5,000 package for WSOP Paradise in The Bahamas.
This win marks his second triumph at the same venue, following his earlier success in January 2020.
Haletky's path to victory included a crucial hand on Day 2. He won a massive pot with pocket aces against Alec Jahed's pocket nines, taking the chip lead. Later, he eliminated Casey Sandretto in a high-stakes showdown, calling with ace-queen against Sandretto's ace-king.
The final heads-up match against Chavez proved decisive. Haletky made a bold call with a flopped two pair, beating Chavez's turned top pair. This move sealed his victory and the top prize.
His first WSOPC Main Event win in 2020 came just before the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted live poker. That victory earned him $148,000, while this latest win nearly doubles that amount.
Haletky now plans to use his winnings to enter the upcoming Rolling Thunder Main Event and the WSOP Main Event.
The win brings Haletky's total WSOPC Main Event titles to two, both secured at Thunder Valley. With $205,460 in prize money and a seat at WSOP Paradise, he now turns his focus to future high-stakes tournaments. His next appearances will include the Rolling Thunder Main Event and the prestigious WSOP Main Event.
