Industry Giant 4 launches to backlash as developers abandon fixes

Industry Giant 4, the latest instalment in the popular strategy series, has been released. However, it's faced immediate backlash due to unresolved issues. Developer Don VS Dodo and publisher Toplitz Productions have since spoken out about the situation.

Industry Giant 4, developed by Don VS Dodo and published by Toplitz Productions, launched recently. Unfortunately, it's been met with widespread criticism. Players have reported missing features, clunky controls, performance issues, and persistent bugs. The developers have no plans for major updates or new features.

Toplitz Productions has acknowledged the situation, stating they take customer reactions seriously. They aim to make future titles more player-focused. However, the project has been concluded as planned, with no further joint projects between the publisher and developer studio. The project received over a million euros in public funding from the Free State of Bavaria and Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs. Toplitz Productions also invested a significant sum themselves but absorbed a substantial financial loss. The decision to conclude the project was not economically motivated.

Industry Giant 4 has not met player expectations, with Toplitz Productions acknowledging the game's shortcomings. A full overhaul would require substantial additional investment, leading to the conclusion of the project. Both the developer and publisher have expressed a commitment to learning from this experience to improve future titles.
