Iconic Palms Casino restaurants to close after contract deals end
Two well-known restaurants at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas will soon close their doors. Laguna Pool House and Rojo Lounge, led by Chef Luke Palladino, will serve their last meals on October 12. Meanwhile, Vetri Cucina, run by Chef Marc Vetri, will also shut down, though a final date has yet to be confirmed.
The decision follows a mutual agreement between the resort and both chefs not to renew their existing contracts.
Laguna Pool House opened in April 2023 at Palms Place, taking over the space previously occupied by a restaurant by the late Chef Kerry Simon. Rojo Lounge, also under Palladino's direction, shared the same fate. Palladino expressed his thanks to the team and the Las Vegas community for their support during the restaurant's short run.
Vetri Cucina first launched at the Palms in November 2018 but temporarily closed in March 2020 due to the pandemic. It later reopened in November 2022 before the decision to close permanently was made. Chef Marc Vetri acknowledged the contributions of his team, the Palms, and the local community throughout their time at the resort.
Gregory Van Stone, vice president of food and beverage at the Palms, praised both chefs for their partnership and impact on the resort's dining scene. The closures mark the end of an era for these two culinary ventures within the casino.
With the departures of Laguna Pool House, Rojo Lounge, and Vetri Cucina, the Palms Casino Resort will see changes to its dining offerings. The chefs have thanked their teams and the community for their support over the years. The resort has not yet announced plans for replacements or new concepts in the vacated spaces.
