Horseshoe Online Casino Replaces WynnBet in Michigan

WynnBet has fully exited Michigan’s online gaming market after selling its license to Caesars. The move marks the end of Wynn’s digital presence in the state, with Horseshoe Online Casino now taking its place. Customers will transition to the new platform under Caesars Rewards.

WynnBet initially sold its Michigan online casino license to Penn National Gaming (now PENN Entertainment) in 2021. That license later became part of the Horseshoe brand, but Wynn retained its sports betting and online gaming operations until early 2024.

In February 2024, Caesars agreed to acquire Wynn’s remaining Michigan license, finalising the deal in June. The purchase included Wynn’s partnership with the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians and Kewadin Casino. Horseshoe Online Casino has since launched, replacing WynnBet entirely. This is Caesars’ first online gaming product under the Horseshoe name in Michigan. Existing WynnBet users will be directed to the new site and automatically enrolled in Caesars Rewards. WynnBet’s withdrawal from Michigan follows a broader pullback. Earlier in 2024, the company left Massachusetts and sold its New York license to Penn Entertainment, which relaunched as ESPN Bet. The brand has also ceased operations in Arizona, Colorado, Louisiana, Indiana, Tennessee, New Jersey, West Virginia, and Virginia. Its only remaining online offering is a sports betting app in Nevada. Michigan currently allows 15 online gambling licenses, all of which are now active.

With the transition complete, WynnBet no longer operates in Michigan. Horseshoe Online Casino has taken over, offering players a new platform under Caesars. The shift leaves Wynn’s digital footprint limited to a single sports betting app in Nevada.
