High-stakes poker showdown eliminates Domínguez in €555 No-Limit Hold'em clash

The €555 No-Limit Hold'em Championship witnessed a thrilling showdown just before the break, with only 43 players remaining in contention. At Table 13, Rasmus Lundström and Ismael Domínguez clashed in a high-stakes hand that culminated in Domínguez's elimination. The tournament's total prize pool stands at €1,234,567.

The hand commenced with Rasmus Lundström initiating the pre-flop betting at 25,000. Kauno Jäppinen called, and Ismael Domínguez defended his big blind to stay in the pot.

The flop arrived as 4♠Q♠7♦, and all three players opted to check. On the turn (10♣), Lundström bet 40,000, leading Jäppinen to fold while Domínguez called.

The river card (5♥) saw Lundström go all-in, putting Domínguez at risk for his remaining 181,000. After several minutes of contemplation, Domínguez called. Lundström revealed 7♣7♥, a set of sevens, which outmatched Domínguez's A♠7♠. The victory propelled Lundström's stack to 600,000, while Domínguez was eliminated from the players championship.

With Domínguez's elimination, the field now stands at 43 players. Lundström's chip lead places him in a strong position as the tournament continues. The next rounds will determine who progresses further in the €1,234,567 event.
