High-stakes poker showdown: $500 Progressive K.O. tournament kicks off Monday

A $500 No-Limit Hold'em Progressive K.O. tournament is set to take place this Monday at 5 PM. Each player carries a $200 bounty. The tournament begins with 20,000 starting chips and 25-minute levels. Players can enter for nine levels, with the final registration closing around 9:15 PM. When a player knocks out an opponent, they take half of the eliminated player’s bounty and add the remaining half to their own.

Last October, Chris Potter won the main event, securing another ring for the Die Hard Poker League. He defeated 325 competitors, sharing a total prize pool of $136,500. Organisers aim to finish the game before the night ends. A similar event in Canada, held in October 2025, saw Samuel Rakichi take first place in the $500 NLH Progressive K.O. event.

This year's event offers another chance for players to compete for bounties and prizes. The structure allows late entries until 9:15 PM, with the game expected to wrap up the same night. Last year's winner, Chris Potter, set a high standard with his performance in a large field.
