High Roller at Card Casino Samorin nears record $6.5M prize pool

The High Roller event at Card Casino Samorin is nearing its close for new entries, with the prize pool already climbing toward record levels. Nearly 200 players have joined so far, pushing the total winnings close to $650,000. The tournament’s guaranteed prize money now stands at over $6.4 million—and could soon surpass $6.5 million.

The current series has already broken past records. Prizes from Event #16 alone have exceeded the total from January 2024, marking a strong start to this year’s competition. With Level 12 nearly complete, players have about five minutes left before the next break.

Entries for the High Roller event will shut in roughly 20 minutes. The field remains competitive, though the last champion, Robert Wagner, took home €6,895 after a heads-up deal in January 2026. Christoph Rapf ultimately lifted the trophy that day, following an agreement between the two finalists.

The tournament’s growing prize pool reflects its popularity, with nearly 200 participants already registered. Once entries close, the focus will shift to the remaining players battling for a share of the $6.5 million-plus rewards. The event continues to build on its reputation as one of the most lucrative in recent years.
