Harvey Weinstein's bold all-in crushes rival in high-stakes poker showdown
A high-stakes poker hand ended Johan Storåkers' run in the tournament. The clash came against Harvey Weinstein, who secured a decisive victory with a bold all-in move. The final pot pushed Weinstein's chip stack to nearly two million.
The hand began with Weinstein min-raising to 100,000 from the Button. Storåkers, in the Big Blind, chose to defend. The flop arrived with A♠2♠7♦, prompting Weinstein to bet 50,000. Storåkers responded by raising to 180,000.
Weinstein then went all-in for 365,000, a move Storåkers called. The turn brought the 3♥, offering Storåkers a glimmer of hope. But the Q♣ on the river changed nothing, sealing his fate.
Weinstein revealed A♥2♥ for a pair of aces, while Storåkers held A♦5♥. With no improvement on the board, Storåkers was left with zero chips and eliminated from the tournament.
The win boosted Weinstein's stack to 1,900,000. Storåkers' exit marked the end of his tournament journey. Weinstein's aggressive play secured both the pot and a stronger position in the competition.
