Global Stakeholders Shape the Future of Responsible Gambling Policies
The Better Gambling Forum (BGF) has launched an open consultation on its Responsible Gambling Triple-P (RG3P) Framework. The initiative invites feedback from stakeholders to refine policies on safer gambling practices. Six key areas, including education, risk detection, and ethical standards, are under review as part of the process.
The consultation will examine real-world cases, research findings, and practical concerns around implementation. Stakeholders, including indigenous communities, will contribute to shaping the framework's cultural and ethical dimensions. Their input will help address gaps in responsible gambling measures.
Feedback collected during this phase will directly inform the next version of the RG3P Framework. A full review and update are scheduled for 2026, ensuring policies stay current with emerging challenges. The BGF's work also ties into wider efforts on brain capital and prevention strategies, bridging research with industry action.
Shawn Fluharty, Chair of the BGF Steering Committee, has encouraged participation to strengthen responsible gambling policies. The forum aims to turn consultation results into concrete policy changes and industry guidelines.
The RG3P Framework's development will continue through stakeholder input and expert review. Finalised updates in 2026 will reflect the latest evidence and cultural considerations. The BGF's approach ensures policies remain adaptable and grounded in real-world needs.
