Giuseppe Iadisernia claims $611K victory at WPT Lucky Hearts Championship
Giuseppe Iadisernia has taken down the $3,500 buy-in WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open Championship after a hard-fought final table. The Italian outlasted a tough field, including defending champion Martins Adeniya, to claim the top prize of $611,700. His win also secures a seat at the WPT World Championship in Las Vegas this December.
The final day began with six players, but Eddie Blumenthal was the first to fall. He exited in sixth place for $127,000 after just 10 hands. Anatoly Nikitin followed shortly after, finishing fifth for $167,000.
Defending champion Martins Adeniya couldn’t repeat his earlier success and was eliminated in fourth place, earning $220,000. Thomas Boivin, one of the most in-form tournament players, made a deep run but ultimately settled for third, taking home $295,000.
Heads-up play started with Iadisernia holding a commanding chip lead over Jorge Gomez. The two battled intensely before Iadisernia sealed the victory, leaving Gomez as the runner-up for $395,000. The final table had been packed with dramatic swings, keeping spectators engaged until the very end.
Iadisernia’s triumph marks his first major WPT title and grants him direct entry into the season-ending WPT World Championship. The event’s prize pool was distributed among the top finishers, with Gomez, Boivin, and Adeniya all securing significant payouts. The tournament’s competitive final table showcased some of the strongest performances in recent poker events.
