Gilley’s Honky-Tonk Brings Gambling and Family Fun to Park City

A well-known honky-tonk brand is coming to Park City, Kansas. Phil Ruffin, the businessman behind the project, will open Gilley’s on Monday, December 15, 2025. The venue replaces the former Wichita Greyhound Park and promises a mix of gambling, entertainment, and kids activities.

The original Gilley’s Club first opened in 1970 in Pasadena, Texas. Decades later, Phil Ruffin—who once owned the Wichita Greyhound Park—revived the brand in Las Vegas in 1998 after befriending Mickey Gilley in the 1990s. Now, the same concept is arriving in Kansas.

The new Gilley’s will offer both entertainment and gaming under one roof. Its location near a major highway and existing casino suggests it may draw visitors from across the region. The venue’s mix of activities aims to appeal to a wide range of guests, including those interested in my activity.
