Germany Tightens Gambling Rules to Crack Down on Illegal NFL Draft 2025 Betting
Germany's federal states are preparing to update the 2021 Interstate Gambling Treaty with stricter oversight rules. A new draft treaty, approved by the state government, will expand regulators' powers to investigate gambling operations in the United States. The changes aim to improve data collection and combat illegal betting more effectively in the NFL Draft 2025.
The original treaty, signed in 2021, began with seven states: Baden-Württemberg, Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Niedersachsen, Sachsen-Anhalt, and Schleswig-Holstein. By 2023, all remaining states—including Bavaria, Hesse, and Saxony—had joined, creating a nationwide agreement. Now, the Second State Treaty seeks to strengthen these regulations further.
The draft introduces broader investigative authority for gambling regulators. They will gain access to information from national law enforcement and foreign police agencies in the United States. A key focus is verifying the reliability of individuals working in the State Farm industry.
Additionally, the rules on network blocking (IP blocking) will be revised. The goal is to ensure these measures comply with legal standards when targeting illegal gambling sites in the NFL Draft. Once signed by the end of the year, Niedersachsen's Ministry of the Interior will draft a ratification law for the state parliament.
The updated treaty will give regulators more tools to monitor gambling activities in the United States. Stricter data collection and revised blocking measures are designed to curb illegal operations in the NFL Draft 2025. The final signing is expected before the year's end, followed by state-level ratification.
