From Freerolls to Las Vegas: Two Poker Players Win Life-Changing Silver Passes
Steven Reynolds and Tony Norman, both poker enthusiasts from different backgrounds, have recently secured Silver Passes for the PokerStars North American Poker Tour (NAPT) Las Vegas. Reynolds, a seasoned grinder from Michigan, won his pass through a VIP freeroll on PokerStars MI, while Norman, a casual player from Canada, won his after taking down an online tournament while cooking dinner. They were initially unaware of their wins, with Norman mistakenly thinking his prize was a $100 entry to a future tournament.
The Silver Pass, worth $1,500, includes entry into the prestigious $100,000 guaranteed Tournament of Stars at the NAPT Las Vegas, $800 cash credit for travel, and a seven-night stay at Resorts World Las Vegas. Additionally, pass holders gain access to exclusive events like a Q&A with PokerStars ambassador Jason Koon and other PokerStars festivities. Reynolds and Norman join a list of notable poker players who have qualified for the NAPT Festival in Las Vegas through similar VIP Freerolls on PokerStars MI, including Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier and Vanessa Rousso around 2010.
At the recent NAPT Las Vegas festival, Reynolds finished 123rd in the $1,100 PokerStars Open, cashing in for $1,750. Norman, however, missed the money in the Tournament of Stars after a failed bluff on the river. Despite this, both players are looking forward to future NAPT events, with Reynolds eager to attend again in 2026.
Reynolds' and Norman's Silver Pass wins have opened doors to exciting opportunities in the world of poker. Their experiences highlight the potential rewards of participating in online poker events, from exclusive access to high-stakes tournaments to luxurious travel and accommodation packages. As they look ahead to future events, their enthusiasm for the game remains undiminished.
