Foxwoods Casino Launches First US Live-Streamed Roulette for Global Players

Foxwoods casino has become the first in the US to stream live table games to international players. The Mashantucket Pequot tribe launched a real-money, live-streaming roulette product in partnership with Malta-based Authentic Gaming. However, Connecticut residents will not be able to place bets due to current state laws. The new service marks a shift in how US casinos engage with global markets. While major platforms like Caesars Palace, BetMGM, and offshore sites focus on domestic players, Foxwoods is specifically targeting international gamblers. This move comes as Connecticut's online gaming laws remain unchanged, with no immediate plans for legalisation.

Governor Dannel Malloy is currently in talks with tribal operators to legalise sports betting, aiming for implementation by next year. But negotiations for new compacts must take place first, and lawmakers have ruled out online gaming legalisation this year due to the need for a full public hearing process.

Seth Young, Foxwoods' executive director of online gaming, expressed interest in offering live-streaming games to Connecticut residents. For now, though, the service will act as a tourism marketing tool until state laws allow local participation. International operators like LeoVegas and Betsson Group are expected to benefit from the new streaming offering. Foxwoods' live-streaming roulette is now available to players outside Connecticut. The casino's partnership with Authentic Gaming sets it apart from other US operators, which have not yet explored international live-dealer streaming. Until state laws change, the service will remain off-limits to local residents.
