Fortnite’s *Zero Hour* event kicks off Chapter 7 with epic showdowns and new heroes

Fortnite is gearing up for a major shift as Chapter 6 comes to a close. The game’s next big update, Chapter 7, will launch on Saturday, November 29, during the Thanksgiving weekend. Before that, players can take part in the Zero Hour event—a one-time spectacle packed with licensed characters and a brand-new map experience.

The event marks the end of an era, setting the stage for Chapter 7’s arrival, which will introduce fresh faces like The Bride from Kill Bill and Marty McFly from Back to the Future

The Zero Hour event kicks off at 11 AM PT (2 PM ET, 8 PM GMT), with doors opening 40 minutes early to handle expected server demand. Unlike regular matches, this event will run on a special playlist, not the current map. Players will unite to defeat the Dark Presence, one of Fortnite’s most formidable villains yet.

A long list of licensed characters will make appearances, including Superman, Star Wars ships, Megazord from Power Rangers, a Back to the Future DeLorean, Scooby-Doo’s gang, a nearly nude Homer Simpson, Godzilla and King Kong, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and even HUNTR/X from KPop Demon Hunters. The event promises a chaotic, action-packed finale before the game goes offline for maintenance.

Once Zero Hour wraps up, Fortnite will temporarily shut down to prepare for Chapter 7. The release time for the new chapter will be confirmed soon, but players can expect a dramatic overhaul, including a revamped map and new storylines featuring The Bride and Marty McFly

The Zero Hour event signals the end of Chapter 6 and the start of a new Fortnite era. After the showdown with the Dark Presence, the game will update to Chapter 7, bringing fresh characters and a transformed world. Players will need to wait for the official release time, but the transition begins on November 29 at 20:00 German time.
