Ford pickup smashes into Ulm casino after driver’s parking mishap
A 57-year-old driver accidentally crashed his Ford pickup into a casino in Ulm on Tuesday. The vehicle smashed through the storefront, causing significant damage and injuring one patron inside.
The incident began when the man tried to pull out of a parking space on Zeppelinstraße. Instead of reversing, his truck lurched forward and accelerated into the building beside the entrance. It ploughed through the window and came to rest among overturned slot machines.
The storefront was completely destroyed. A 48-year-old patron suffered minor injuries, while the driver escaped unharmed. Police later assessed the damage at no less than €50,000.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the accident. The gaming hall remains closed for repairs, and the injured patron received medical treatment. No further details have been released at this time.
