A kayaker was rescued off the coast of Florida after falling into the water during a morning trip. Crew members from a nearby gambling ship spotted the man struggling and quickly moved to assist. The incident happened in February 2025, roughly two miles from Port Canaveral.
The man’s kayak began taking on water after he fell overboard. Fortunately, he was wearing a life jacket and had a radio, which he used to call for help. The crew of the Victory Casino Cruises ship, on a gambling cruise at the time, noticed the distress call and launched an onboard rescue boat.
The rescue effort involved quick action from the casino ship’s crew and support from wildlife officials. The kayaker, though shaken, did not require medical treatment after being brought ashore. His equipment was also safely returned following the incident.
