First-Time Poker Player Wins Nearly $1 Million at Caesars Atlantic City

A lucky poker player has walked away with nearly $1 million after his very first hand at Caesars Atlantic City. The win took place on March 14, just days before St. Patrick's Day. Casino officials called it a once-in-a-lifetime moment for the anonymous guest. The man, whose identity remains unknown, played Three Card Poker at Caesars Atlantic City Hotel & Casino. His single hand earned him $832,549—a staggering prize for a first-time visitor. Caesars described the win as unforgettable, highlighting its rarity.

This latest jackpot follows another big win in California. An in-state resident recently secured a $1.2 million payout at Yaamava' Resort & Casino at San Manuel. Their victory came from a three-sevens diamond blackjack, adding to the string of high-profile casino wins. While exact numbers aren't publicly tracked, industry estimates suggest fewer than 50 US players have won $1 million or more in a single casino game over the past five years. Notable examples include high-stakes poker tournaments, such as the WSOP Main Event, where winners have taken home over $10 million in Las Vegas between 2021 and 2025. Noel Stevenson, Caesars Entertainment's Regional Director of Marketing and Communications, linked the Atlantic City win to seasonal luck. He joked that the player must have had 'a little St. Patrick's Day luck' on his side.

The $832,549 win marks one of the largest single-hand payouts in recent casino history. Such massive prizes remain rare, with only a handful of players achieving similar results each year. The anonymous winner's first—and highly profitable—visit to Caesars Atlantic City now stands as a remarkable story in the world of gambling.
