Fernando Alonso gets a £210K Aston Martin DBX S as a Monaco holiday surprise

Fernando Alonso received an early Christmas gift in Monaco—a £210,000 Aston Martin DBX S. The luxury SUV was presented to the two-time Formula 1 champion by the Aston Martin Monaco team just before the holidays.

Meanwhile, Alonso also took to the track in another Aston Martin model, the Valkyrie hypercar, for a shakedown session at MotorLand Aragón.

The Aston Martin DBX S handed to Alonso boasts 727 horsepower and a top speed of 193 mph. It accelerates from 0 to 200 km/h in just 11.4 seconds, combining performance with practicality. The vehicle’s price tag starts at £210,000, equivalent to around €240,000.

Before the gift presentation, Alonso tested the Aston Martin Valkyrie at MotorLand Aragón. Designed by Adrian Newey, the Valkyrie is a road-legal hypercar with F1-inspired aerodynamics and pushrod suspension. Its 6.5-litre V12 engine, developed with Cosworth, produces roughly 1,139 horsepower.

The Valkyrie’s hybrid system delivers around 900 Nm of torque to the rear wheels. Its carbon-fibre monocoque and lightweight construction give it a near 1:1 power-to-weight ratio. Performance figures include a 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 2.5 to 2.7 seconds and a top speed exceeding 350 km/h.

Alonso now owns a high-performance DBX S, gifted by Aston Martin Monaco. His recent test in the Valkyrie also highlights the brand’s engineering capabilities. Both vehicles showcase Aston Martin’s range, from luxury SUVs to cutting-edge hypercars.
