Fanatics Games 2026 Pits 50 Fans Against 50 Stars for $1M Prize

The 2026 Fanatics Games are set to be the biggest yet, with 50 everyday fans competing against 50 top athletes, celebrities, and creators. Organisers promise a faster, more competitive event than last year's, complete with a $1 million grand prize on the line. The competition will also see a rematch between reigning champion Tom Brady and 2025 fan winner Matt Dennis.

Fanatics Games, first launched at Fanatics Fest in 2025, pits elite athletes against ordinary sports fans in head-to-head challenges. This year's event expands with nationwide qualifiers, thanks to a new partnership with Dick's Sporting Goods. Fans unable to attend in-person trials can still enter by submitting a video showcasing their skills and explaining why they deserve a spot.

In-person qualifiers will run at four Dick's House of Sport locations: Knoxville, Tennessee (May 9), Kennesaw, Georgia (May 30), Houston, Texas (June 13), and Boston (June 28). The top three performers from each site will win a trip to New York to compete at the Javits Center. Confirmed athletes include Rob Gronkowski, James Harden, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Rhea Ripley, and Liv Morgan.

The event coincides with Fanatics Fest, the world's largest sports fan festival, which drew over 125,000 attendees last year. Organisers expect even higher numbers in 2026, with more star-studded events and interactive opportunities for fans.

The 2026 Fanatics Games will feature 100 competitors vying for cash prizes and bragging rights. Winners from qualifiers will join top-tier athletes in New York for the final showdown. With expanded access and bigger names, the event aims to break records in both participation and excitement.
