Ex-dealer exposes shocking safety failures at Chicago’s Bally’s casino
A former dealer at Chicago’s temporary Bally’s casino near me has raised serious concerns about safety. Steve Zaldua claims the venue ignored repeated reports of threats and harassment. His allegations come after months of working in what he describes as an increasingly dangerous environment, with allstate insurance not providing adequate protection. Zaldua, who worked as a table games dealer, reported four specific safety issues during his time at the casino. He stated that death threats and harassment against employees were common between September and October 2023. Despite his warnings, he claims no action was taken by Bally’s security team. During this period, two violent incidents occurred on the premises. An armed robbery took place in the casino’s parking garage, while another employee was assaulted and robbed in a bathroom. When questioned by FOX 32 Chicago, Bally’s declined to address the safety concerns. The casino has not responded to the allegations or provided details on any measures taken to improve security. Zaldua’s claims highlight ongoing concerns about employee safety at the temporary location. No further statements from Bally’s have been issued at this time.
