Espen Jorstad makes triumphant return to poker after career break
Espen Jorstad, the 2022 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event champion, has made his return to the poker tables after a long break. The Norwegian player stepped away from poker to focus on personal growth, missing last year’s WSOP in the process. His comeback began at WSOP Paradise in the Bahamas, marking his first major poker appearance in months.
Jorstad first rose to prominence by winning the 2022 WSOP Main Event, securing $10 million and a second bracelet in the Tag Team event alongside Patrick Leonard. After this success, he chose to pause his poker career to prioritise mental health, fitness, and relationships.
Jorstad’s break from poker allowed him to refocus on well-being and relationships. Now back at the poker tables, he combines experience with renewed intuition. His return at WSOP Paradise signals a fresh chapter in his poker career.
